A message from Gretchen

Updated: Sep 13, 2022

As we head into a busy election season, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the entire Voter Registration staff:

Outreach and Training—Meg Pettersson is our new Coordinator. She joins us after having worked in the Elections Division for 13 years. We are very happy to have her on board. Andi Phillips serves as the assistant in this area. Andi has been with us for over 2 years and manages the VDR spreadsheet, handles the sign ups and designs the VR materials.

Administrative—Monica Johns is our Office Manager and her staff include, Antoinette, Gaby, Deborah, and our newest team member, Angie. They are the ones you see when picking up supplies or dropping off applications. They are our front line staff taking calls, assisting voters at the counter, and doing most of the data entry.

Database management—Amanda and Leeann handle the imports and exports of files between us and SOS and DPS. They dive into the data and identify and resolve issues.

GIS (Mapping and Addressing)—Tommy leads a team including Todd, Scott, and Chris. Together they resolve all addressing issues, create our maps, worked on redistricting, and maintain boundaries for jurisdictions.

In April, we will be moving to 2433 Ridgepoint Drive at the intersection of 290 and 183 near the main post office. We will be located on the 2nd floor and are looking forward to the new space.

The Heflin Satellite will be returned to the Motor Vehicle Division, however, you will still be able to drop off applications there. The other Tax Office Satellites—Oakhill, McKinney Falls, and Pflugerville are all open. And the County has just purchased a new NW Satellite on 620 just north of the Four Points intersection that we hope to have open this Spring. We will be working with the staff at these locations to ensure we have supplies available for pick up. Here’s a link to their addresses. As the new offices open, they will be added to this site.

We are looking forward to a busy and productive election season. I would like to also introduce you to our new website—

This website link will be found on our official Tax Office website this week. Andi worked on this project last year and we’re now eager to launch it! We tried to capture everything we’ve done in the past and are doing today. It will be a document we update as new programs start up! Take a look at it and let us know what you think and if we missed something!

We will be working to improve our Tax Office website this Spring. There are key items such as a VDR FAQs page, a calendar of trainings and events, and other features we want to add.

We appreciate your efforts and contributions that have made our Voter Registration program a model for other counties and organizations.

Gretchen

VR Director
